

So, today we look at some popular Bollywood song videos and the gorgeous locations they were shot in, so that we can all add these places to our travel bucket lists! They have a good deal to do with exotic shoot locales and foreign backdrops that enhance the aesthetic aspect of the picture (as well as the production value). In the end, the most convincing part about this one is its title ‘Koi Jaane Na’ that perfectly sums up the feeling after watching it.Hindi films are not just about plotlines and acting, as anyone who has watched a Bollywood film, knows. Ashwini Kalsekar is quite impactful as the tough cop and Atul Kulkarni is grossly wasted. Kunaal Kapoor and Amyra Dastur are well-cast in their roles and they have some scope to perform, despite the obvious lacunas in the writing. Adding to that, barrage of forgettable songs, make matters worse. More characters are introduced right until the climax, in an attempt to make it a mind-bender, but the sluggish pace makes ‘Koi Jaane Na,’ a tedious watch. Her contribution to the narrative is zilch, much like the battery of twists and turns that do not add up either. For example, Kabir’s seductive housekeeper Bindiya (Neha Mahjan) does nothing more than sliding her pallu and sneaking up on her boss. The execution remains quite underwhelming with the story trying to justify its many characters and their motives. The first half builds-up slowly, indicating some promise, but the narrative keeps getting progressively shaky. To his credit though, Hajee starts off well with intrigue and of course, the item number featuring a svelte Ellie Avrram seducing a super-suave Aamir Khan. As writer-director Amin Hajee lets his imagination and pen loose, we’re bombarded with shady characters and plot-twists that keep getting caught in their own web of confusion.

The above is as clearly as one can describe, the convoluted and twisted tale that this film is, but beware, this is just the beginning. As expected, this chance meeting promptly develops into love and live-in, but suddenly, a spate of murders rock the sleepy hill station and their lives, as Kabir becomes the main suspect. Amidst all of this, a beautiful young backpacker Suhana (Amyra Dastur), literally drops into Kabir’s life when he is on his way to Panchgini. She even hires a cunning detective cum reporter Ricky Rosario (Karim Hajee) to blackmail Kabir. She now wants his ‘khatara’ jeep and the sprawling bungalow in Panchgini, which is also the labyrinth of Kabir’s deep dark secrets. This after, squeezing him dry with a huge alimony. His ex-wife (Vidya Malvade), who was cheating on him, is now out to sue him. He disguises himself to help those in trouble and stop the crimes. REVIEW: Kabir Kapoor (Kunaal Kapoor) is a famous author and a YouTuber by the day and the savior of the world by the night. Together, can they overcome their demons and live happily ever after? At the same time, he meets a beautiful young girl with a dark past. STORY: An author struggling with his failed marriage and a writer’s block lands himself in major trouble, after a blackmailer threatens to reveal his true identity.
